Antique American Furniture and Decorative Accessories.

Your Source in the Berkshires for 18th and 19th Century American Furniture and Decorative Accessories

Kathy Imerman, OwnerKathy Immerman of Kuttner Antiques has been in the antiques business since 1980, first in New York City, and then moving to the Berkshires in 1987. Keeping an open shop on Rt.7 in Sheffield Ma., she specializes in American 18th and 19thc. furniture, both high country and formal, painted pieces and unpainted with a special emphasis on figured woods such as tiger maple. The many forms to be found include tables [ small & large], chairs, settees, chests, corner cupboards, blanket chests, and many more in styles ranging from William & Mary, Chippendale, Queen Anne, Hepplewhite, Sheraton and Federal. Paintings and watercolors in the American style are also of the 18th and 19thc., folk and academic, as well as folk art items in sculptural and colorful forms.

A special love and interest is in hooked rugs, both mounted and floor, in folky and colorful examples, all in good condition. These have been her personal interest, and her house is filled with them. You will also find a good selection of early ceramics, both Dutch and English Delft, English creamware, pearlware, whieldon, and more.

Special Services and Custom Furniture have been an additional and important part of the business for over 20 yrs., and pieces we have made may be seen on that gallery. They include tiger maple diniing tables in a range of styles and sizes, painted Windsor chairs, and tin hand made chandaliers.
